Formed in 2007 by Tha Archivez (Lyricist) and Monte Carlo (DJ/Producer), the West Coast based group known as THA GLITCH is easily summed up as a unique combination of sexy soul smoothness, 70’s jazz noir, sci-fi future tech inventiveness, mixed with a whole lot of classic Hip-Hop style. Tha Archivez (aka KENE-J) the voice of Tha Glitch is the Dallas, Texas born – Oakland, California raised hip hop impressio who was one of the first MC’s to put the term,”hyfee” on record in the summer of 2003. He has self-released eleven solo albums – selling close to 35,000 copies to date. Tha Glitch’s innovatively quirky music is from the enigmatic musician/DJ known as Monte Carlo (aka DJ Monte Carlo). He has been a professional multi-instrument musician for over 20 years, experienced in a wide range of genres including Heavy Metal, Jazz, and Electronica. Together as THA GLITCH they have created a sound that can’t be confined to any musical style or genre a ‘glitch’ some would say, compared to the norm of the current popular selection of Hip-Hop artists.
